InfoPath in SharePoint 2010:
In this article I'm trying to explain how to
create InfoPath in SharePoint 2010, and how to publish that and how to store
the information into List or Libraries using InfoPath's and how to work out in
SharePoint InfoPath's.
Step1:
Create List under your
SharePoint site, and give a name for that as "InfoPathList" as shown
in below figure.
Step2:
Step3:
Once you click on that Customize form then a new
Microsoft InfoPath will be opened, design that form as you need. In my example
I just save the employee information into that list. So, I just design the list
as per the same.
Step4:
Open MS InfoPath and then choose Insert menu
available in top navigation bar then choose Custom table format and choose the
required columns and rows then Design the table using Toolbox controls
available under Home menu.
Step5:
Now, I want to design the form as per my
requirement, for that I just add one textbox to enter name of the employee
purpose and modify that textbox properties as shown in the below fig.
Step6:
Once properties has been changed then field name
to be changed as per your column visibility into the List result.
Step7:
In the same manner for all rows and controls
need to redesign and modify as per your requirement. The final design is looks
become like below.
Step8:
Now, design everything is completed now I want
to save those details into my list for that I just create one Button and design
the button control for saving form information into SharePoint List /
Libraries.
Step9:
Just right click on button control and then
choose button properties then a new popup window will appear, in Action
dropdown you have no.of options in that you just choose Submit then
click on Submit options button available in that button
properties popup window, as shown in below fig.
Step 10:
After click on Show option button
then a new popup will appear there you just choose where you need to save those
details, ex: if you want to save that info into List then choose SharePoint
List and if you want to save in Library then choose SharePoint Library.
In my scenario I want to save
that into SharePoint List. So, I just choose SharePoint List and then click on
Ok button.
Step 11:
Now, the time to publish that InfoPath, open
file menu then choose Publish option then choose SharePoint
List as shown in below fig.
Step 12:
Now, everything is published successfully, now
you can able to work out this. For checking purpose you just click on preview
button then add few records then check that in your List.
Step 13:
Once submitted those details then check that in
your SharePoint List, as shown in below fig.
Conclusion:
Hope this article will help you those who are
beginners for implementing SharePoint InfoPath’s and those who are beginners.
